The part’s geometry, size, weight, centre of gravity and surface sensitivity determine the bowl diameter, the design of the orienting track and the need for coating. That is why a sample part is so important at the quotation stage.
2. Target capacity
The number of parts to be fed per minute is the key criterion for sizing the bowl and linear track. With the speed control unit, the feed rate can be fine-tuned to the pace of the line.
3. Line layout and working environment
The height of the feed point, the length of the linear track, how often parts are loaded and the noise level in the area determine whether a stand, an elevator hopper or a noise reduction enclosure is needed.
